Imam Shafi’i, often referred
to as 'Shaykh al-Islām', was a great scholar who was known for
his intelligence and words of wisdom. He was able to compose the verses of the
poems that were opened in the Diwan ash-Shafi’i.
One of the best things to
ponder is his advice for someone to travel, leaving his comfort zone to new
territory, new surroundings, new experiences, and getting to know new people.
Let’s move on...
Wise and civilized people
don’t rest in their hometown.
Leave your country and live
in a foreign land.
Let’s move on...
You will get a substitute
from the people you left behind (families and friends).
Get tired, the sweetness of
life feels after the struggle.
Let’s move on...
I saw the water getting damaged because
silence was held
If it flows clear, if not, it will become
murky.
Let’s move on...
If a lion doesn’t leave the nest, it won’t be
able to prey.
Arrows if don’t leave the bow, won’t hit the
target.
